CJR’s Voice of Justice and Reconciliation Radio Program CJR’s Voice of Justice and Reconciliation Radio Program (VJR) promotes justice, democracy and reconciliation by providing information to and facilitating dialogue between Cambodians. VJR’s radio team experts currently host hour long programs four times per week. You can tune in to hear Mr. Vannak TRY, Ms. Ry Noyel, and Ms. CHAP Chandina, known as “the Golden Voice of Cambodia” by her listeners, on Monday and Tuesday at 11 AM on 93.5 FM and 13 PM on 104 FM. These radio frequencies reach fifteen provinces. (See map). VJR encourages dialogue, debate and call-ins from listeners. Through this radio program citizens, including historically disenfranchised groups such as minorities, women and the poor, are empowered to share their ideas and concerns. Through the VJR Cambodians can raise issues heard by people of all socio-economic backgrounds; thus, it builds a bridge between the government and the citizenry. VJR’s recent programs have included shows featuring call-ins, pre-recordings, feature topics, and interviews on transitional justice. The VJR team has been working together for more than two years and now at CJR their future plans include acquiring their own studio and creating more programming on social accountability and public service from government.
